We needed to build common ground between two disparate brand impressions – a cafe with a 70-year history and a line of sauces that had been on the shelves for about a decade. The goal was to create a cohesive brand that reflected tradition and affordability without appearing old.

Nourishing a neighborhood, near and far. Capturing imagery of the cafe, prior to its closing, was critical to understanding and documenting the journey from feeding neighbors in a local cafe, to making meal prep easy for families everywhere.

We designed the communal spaces of the production facility to serve as a tasting room for clients, an event and catering space, as well as offering a view of the manufacturing process. The color palette and octagonal forms referenced the original cafe and was deemed the 1941 room in honor of the founding date.

As the production facility grew, the family wanted to branch out and produce products for other suppliers in need of a co-packing partner. We created a website that focused on relationship building and recipe integrity.
